I was raised by a Christian mother and a father who was raised Catholic. My parents divorced when I was seven. My mom remarried but eventually got back with my dad.
I am married to a wonderful Christian man. We have four children, five grandchildren. My husband and I come from a background of drug addiction and homelessness. I have been married twice before. My husband has been married three times before. We have been married for twelve years but together for fourteen. Ten of those fourteen years we were in active addiction.
How did we survive?
Awesome story! It really makes your post of Jesus’ promise “I will give you rest…” very meaningful.
Thanks for sharing with such honesty and yet so much hope!
Blessings….Ken
Thanks Ken. I really want to convey that there is hope. Hope in Jesus. Blessings.
1Saved,
God is wonderful!
Thank you for telling your story.

So glad you are following my blog. You are an overcomer in Jesus.
Thanks Ted, I’m enjoying your blog.
Blessings.
First, let me say that I enjoyed reading your story very much and am glad that you and your husband have managed to overcome your addictions.
I noticed that you have subscribed to my blog, for which I thank you. I usually try to visit those who subscribe to me blogs just to get a feel for the readers that I am attracting. Most of my subscribers have been a surprise to me, as has yours. Given that I am an atheist (although most definitely not a Richard Dawkins type) I had expected a mainly atheist audience. Instead I have several Christians, Muslims, and others reading it.
I am delighted as well as surprised at this and hope this diversity continues. I enjoy it and hope for enlightening feedback as well as challenges to my posts. I hope that my blog continues to entertain you. And I hope that your life continues on his positive journey.
Short but deep and powerful. I don’t know where you are in your walk, but know that you are in God’s eyes a Queen, Priestess, Lord, Judge, and Saviour just like your elder brother Jesus Christ!
Love you!
Christ bless!
Thanks for the connection! Let me know if you need prayer!

love the depth of your gravatar pic. Intrigued and blessed by the glimpse into your story. π I have had my journey with a loved on in addiction, scarred by divorce, and share wounds of an arduous tragically beautiful journey as well. π different stripes .. however all are healed. π I’m glad that you stopped by my new blog.. I look forward to getting to know you better as well. I don’t get a computer at the ready as often as I like .. so please forgive the lapses. π be encouraged and know your testimony touches many!! π

Thanks for your testimony…Remember OUR testimony can OVERCOME Our Enemy. Rev 12:11. Keep sharing your Light everywhere you have opportunity..

Your testimony is powerful, and I identify. Thank you for connecting with me.

I appreciate you taking the time to read my blog and for allowing the opportunity to read your story. It is indeed humbling.
Keep on keeping on.
I am overcome with emotion having read your work. I thank the Lord Jesus that you found my post because I have now found you! Will you pray for me sister? I have a yearning to write but it seems that my pen is more sword than feather. My tongue is on fire against those that say they love Jesus but refuse to love their neighbor, much less their enemies. I want to travel in your company and I will pray God’s blessings on you and your husband and your sons. You have my word.
Rafael
Thanks Rafael. You are a blessing as well!!
Thank you for visiting and following my blog! Your story is amazing, and gives me hope. I have so many family members lost in addiction and other bad situations and even though I know that God is mighty and can move in people’s lives, it’s still discouraging sometimes to feel like there is no hope for those family members. God bless you as you continue your walk with Him!
Hi!
Wow you have a incredible story. It reminds me of the verse that says with God all things are possible!
Thank you for praying for the Indigo people. Our team trusts that one day they will know the Jesus Christ who has the power to free them from sin and addiction!

May God continue to reveal to you his purpose and love and give you the courage to run the race to the end!!

Thank you for your heartfelt honesty. It makes your recovery, shall we say, all the more remarkable. May God be with you always.
Amen!!! HALLELUJAH!!! I can’t imagine the pain the days of darkness and the heaviness that you and your Husband have gone through, thank GOD Jesus has lifted it Away! YOU ARE A NEW CREATURE!! A beautiful one at that!! Continue to be blessed May he Strengthen you both on your walk to a wonder-us adventure!! WOW, Congratulations in picking up your Cross, being Brave and Glorifying Jesus Christ, All MIGHTY GOD! HE is made strong in our weakness…
“So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. So it is written: “The first man Adam became a living being”; the last Adam, a life-giving spirit” 1 Corinthians 15:42-45
The first man was of the dust of the earth, the second man from heaven. 1 Corinthians 15:47
GOD is GOOD!!!
Hosanna in the Highest!!!
For His Glory,

I have worked in social service related fields since 1994 – specifically child welfare since 2001. Addiction is such a struggle for so many people. Sadly, I have seen young men and women lose their fight against it. I love hearing about people who are in active recovery and I fully believe it is possible through the redemption of Christ. Thank you for being bold in telling your story!
Thank you. God bless you.
Always so good to know none of us are ever Alone. ILY π
Thanks! You too ! π
